Any rural household whose adult members (18 years and above) are willing to do unskilled manual work can apply for VB-GRAM G employment. The applicant must be a resident of the Gram Panchayat area where they apply.

You can apply for a Job Card at your local Gram Panchayat office. Submit a written application with proof of age (for adult members) and a photograph of the household. The Job Card should be issued within 15 days of application.

VB-GRAM G covers a wide range of works including: water conservation and management, drought proofing, irrigation canals, renovation of traditional water bodies, land development, flood control, rural connectivity (CC roads), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana support, individual works like wells (Kapildhara), and plantation under schemes like Ek Bagiya.

Wages are paid directly to the worker's bank or post office account via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Payment must be made within 15 days of completion of work. If delayed beyond 16 days, workers are entitled to compensation under Section 25 of VB-GRAM G.

Social Audit is a mandatory review process where Gram Sabhas verify VB-GRAM G works, muster rolls, and expenditures. It is conducted at least twice a year by an independent Social Audit Unit. All residents can participate and raise objections.
